After moving to the United States from Hong Kong in 1968, Ket Youngstead began her sewing career in Los Angeles’ Garment District. In 1975, Ket opened Feathers Clothing in Laguna Beach, CA, and began exhibiting her designs at the local Sawdust Art Festival where she built decades-long friendships with her clients. Every garment is made by Ket’s hand. Her breadth of work evolved from custom wedding and prom gowns to a simple and relaxed clothing line that now includes loungewear, nightgowns and robes. Ket continues to enjoy sewing out of her home in beautiful Laguna Beach.
